Book 6 – Taking Off

Right. I finished the first draft of Book 6 on the weekend. Only the 1st draft s a long way to go. Editing Book 5: Sailing East continues ….
Not much else to report I’m afraid. The graphic design work I also do is picking up a little at the moment which is interrupting my writing but I’ve doing these people’s work for years so I am not heartless enough to just say “on ya bike.” Besides, the way the sales are dropping off this month I’ll need the money/ πŸ™‚

It maybe a bit late, but wanted you to know that the transistor was patented in 1927 and it took until 194? To perfect. So, in your books, if Aurto thinks he has it described, but it takes many false steps in completing, you are echoing history.

Also, I’m now in book four and the professional editing makes it much easier for this dyslexic to enjoy! Please, keep them coming.

One request, maybe an idea for another book, at least an appendix, would be to have what tribes moved from where and became whom. For instance, the Burgundi, did they become the residents of Burgundy in France? What I could find says they came from Poland. Is this why there is a similarity between Polish and Burgundy cooking? No one today knows for sure, but it’d be fun to speculate!

    1. I don’t now about the cooking the Burgundi were in what is now Poland early on and yes – Burgundy is where they finished up. Lombary in Italy was named for the Lombards who occupied the area in the 7th Century after the Romans defeated the Ostrogoths who had taken Italy int he 5th Century. Mosty of the tribal wanderings won;t happen in Arturo’s universe as the revitalised Roman Empire will generally be pushing back int h opposite direction. πŸ™‚
