    1. True – I blame Microsoft or Grammarly – both of which are vital to the production of my books but are not infallible – they were unfortunately programmed by humans – Grammarly is particularly bad – cavalries I reported over a year ago and they still haven’t fixed it.

      1. Thanks for this.
I had started the previous book in the series Taroniah and stopped.
Read this and man was it good. Followed up with the previous one and almost as good as this.
        Love your stuff. So great.
You really got your bases covered, time travel, fantasy and sf. Will read any of those series.

Thank you for explaining. I wonder if you could enlist a good copy editor to run through each book before it is released and catch homophones like knock and nock and also the inappropriate apostrophes. Otherwise—love the stories!

    1. I use grammarly when writing – and when I do my own first edit of the manuscript – then I hand it over to the copy editor – unfortunately my editor is neither a space tech junkie nor a medieval weapon specialist so things like happen – grammarly is a pain in the arse by the way – it is very good generally but has some strange quirks – for instance it thinks the plural of cavalry is cavalries…. derr
A professional copy editor would cost me 2-3k per book – at the moment that is simply too much of a percentage of the each book’s return to justify. We do our best but things slip through.
I did pay to have one of my books “professionally edited” and the result was not significantly better than what are achieving. I have earned the money back from that but it took 9 months.
If you know a good copy editor who works for 1c a word or so feel free to let me know … Peter

  2. Will Kyron also get maps? There must be a country/river/town threshold for the requirement for a map. Sir I think you are there! Please help us out.

    1. There is a map at the start of Kyron, isn’t there?
I hadn’t worked out how to include one in Taroniah – there are a whole bunch of maps in an earlier blog post here though.
