Map question when I print them the colors are such pale pastels and the lettering is literally illegible. Has anyone else had this and a fix? Also when is print edition of new Kyron coming? And will next book be Kyron or Arturo?

    1. Did you download the map I pasted on the blog?
The print edition should be out this weekend – sorry – I find setting up the print edition to be rather tedious
The next book is The Princess & The Travelers (Jan/Feb)
      then Taroniah at Peace (Mar/April)
      then Kyron the Mercenary (May/June)
then New Federation (space opera) (July/Aug)

dates are tentative – I still haven’t finished writing The Princess & the Travelers and then it has to be edited so at this stage the second of the two months listed is more likely than the first and as 2023 progress it might blow out further
At roughly 10,500 words a week, it takes 12-14 weeks to actually write a book from scratch less any material I have already written
The Ithria books are being written bang bang – space – bang bang so there is little written in advance for them – so, for instance, Taroniah at Peace which is the next book I will write has only 11k words written in it resulting from me writing bits in pieces in advance as ideas occur to me – Kyron the Mercenary has only 5k words written so far
compare that to New Federation – which has been sitting around since about Arturo book 4 – and which has 47k written and by the time I get to it will have probably passed 50k so in that case I will gain ground time-wise.
I limit myself to 1500 words on a single story a day as I find that is good balance between inspiration and fatigue – which I do in the morning and then later in the day I write bits and pieces in future books. After then end of this year I will no longer be doing my other job so my production rate my alter. More likely in the second book I work on rather than the daily 1500 words in the next to be published book.
Yes – some days I flash through 1500 words when the ideas a flowing but it can be incredibly tedious and wearing trying to write 1500 words when the muse is on strike!
My best is 1500 words in 45 minutes – my worst is 1500 words in 5 hours…… the average is between 2 & 3 hours
