Someone raised the issue that I changed the way Gods are created in Taroniah at Large. This has been bothering me but I can;t find the original post so I thought I’d enlarge on the issue here.
The original version of how gods were created (I think it is only addressed in Taroniah at School but it may be mentioned in other books – memory is not what it used to be.)
Anyway – the earlier information I am fairly sure is what is thought to be the case by the people of Taroniah’s time whereas the information in At Large comes direct form a god and is therefore what really happens.
Kyron the magician should be out the 1st week of February hopefully – depending on how my 2 eye operations go

Love your stories. How Gods came to be was first mentioned in long section in second half of Chapter 27 of Kyron the Bowman where Kyron talks to the God Jehrayn:…”Every natural force or major piece of scenery was given the status of being a God…[If enough people believed]…their energy was enough to infuse their…Gods with existence…” Jehrayn also tells Kyron that Gods traveled by disincorporating and reincorporating into statues–not projecting as in Taroniah at Large…” Jehrayn tells Kryon he wields Klinmec, and his destiny is to go to the college of Grendall and become Kyron the Mighty, Lord Commander of the Star Guard…

yeah – I’d forgotten that bit – the travel bit is still correct – projecting is how they appear when someone calls them such as Emilar when she came to help Taroniah in Winghia. Taroniah hasn’t worked out the translocation thing yet –
The enough people believing still applies too – its what sets apart a God from a powerful sorcerer – Gods were stronger and had far more depth to their power than a sorcerer because of all the believers.
All the surviving Gods – especially Jehrayn and Emilar have power from their believers but it is not like it was 2000 years before because the Gods haven;t out in the open – I would say more but, you, know, spoilers
And does go to the College of Grenall – the next book is Kyron The Magician – – Star Guards – still a way to go on that
