Kyron the Invader is next (April hopefully)
My editor is going to finish Ostraya after she finishes Kyron so it can be handed to Pam Uphoff before publishing – hopefully in June or early July
The Princess and the Gangsters will follow
Then Taroniah at Bay followed by Kyron the Rescuer
These two will be followed by The Kelad Onslaught – the next New Federation book
The Taroniah at Risk and Kyron the Savior
By rights they should be followed by the next Princess book but I thinking I switch to my new Time Travel series involving a guy shipwrecked on the Maine Coast by a storm like the one in the movie The Final Countdown only he gets deposited in the 12th century in time to meet the Welsh colonists of Madoc ab Owain Gwynedd and his brother Rhodri. Madoc returns to Wales to gather more people and supplies but is never seen again.
The 21st century American – Rick Metsov – finds a medieval motte and bailey type wooden fort besieged by the local natives.
I am open to a vote for the next Princess book or the first book int he time travel series – let me know which you’d prefer…

To tell you the truth, I’m kind of burned out on time travel books. I LOVE Ed Nelson’s “revisionist history” book series. Best series of any style that I have ever read. But I haven’t been able to finish the 3rd book in his new time travel series. The topic fails to interest me anymore.

So I would rather see the Princess book 1st.

    Aloha, Mr. Rhodan,

As I’m sure you heard before from many admirers, I also am a fan of your work and read everything you publish.

Beyond your addictive style of writing and your capturing imagination, I am deeply impressed by your production rate.

as a writer myself, I know how difficult, complicated and time consuming producing a cohesive and logical story is.

I hope you will continue to share your talent and provide us with continued joy!

    Mahalo nui,

Hello, first time posting thought I’ve been following the Taroniah & Kyron series, but not any of your others as those subjects aren’t of interest to me.

Is Taroniah at Risk and Kyron the Savior the end of the series? and will the Star Guard finally be explained or will that be a spin-off series.

I am in the same age group as you are so am in awe by how much you accomplish. Thank you for the enjoyable time spend with Taroniah & Kyron.

    1. No – those two books are not the end of the series – that had been my original plan – you know team up – beat the big bad – ride off into the sunset
But seeing you asked – spoilers

Taroniah at Home will be followed by Kyron the Conquerer
But before them I am thinking of fitting in Irildur’s Campaign – which will be about what happens in Swasalia and Marhingia while Kyron is off putting Ergania on the the throne of Pilia and then joining Taroniah to fight the God of Magic

You never mention using the water pipes in a well. Not everywhere has a river nearby. They could also be used on a ship to pump water out of the bilge. Instead they are using some complicated rope and bucket scheme?

The clay gets stirred after the spell is cast. After it is molded into pipes how does it know which direction to move the water? Seems like half the pipes should have the water coming out the wide end.

    Love the series!

    1. you are right about wells
Ships are hard because of angles trying to get from the bilge to over the side (plus all the rigging and stuff) We’ll see….
Direction of the spell is which end is down when the slurry is poured into the mold – something they haven’t investigated yet. (Good point though)

Any plans to make your books available on other sites besides Amazon? Maybe selling direct? I’d prefer to cut out the billionaire middleman and give more money to the authors.

    1. no in e-book format – Kindle Unlimited represents 75% of my income so I’m not “going wide” anytime soon
I keep thinking about taking down all the paperback files – redoing them to Ingram Spark format and publishing paperback and hardcover through them and then I think of all the work involved and go back to working on the Work in Progress (WIP)
I have one or two new book series in the pipeline (for 2026 or 2027) and I may test the Ingram Spark waters with one of them but e-books will remain Amazon only I’m afraid

I enjoy your princess series so I hope the next one is about Gizel or even her brother. I’m sorry to hear about a hospital stay. No fun no matter how young you are.
