Progress is happening on Kyron the Mercenary. That will be followed by A Far Federation which is genuine Space Opera.
After that will be Taroniah at Marsea the Kyron the Magician. Beyond that is still a little murky but probably The Princess and the Spy.
Ostraya will be finished in the next few months – edited – sent to Pam Uphoff for approval and hopefully will be out before the end of the year separate to the regular publishing stream.
and….
Taroniah at Peace is live
The war might be over, but for Taroniah life goes on. Follow her through her semi-exile back to Alcitran where she needs to turn her magical abilities into enough money for her, Kauriga and Rengard to live on while continuing her magical studies. Her peaceful existence is interrupted by the Assassins Guild, reacquainting with old friends, experiencing the joys of motherhood, and trying to keep up with her booming business interests.
The book is terrific Given the ending we need the next moved up in the list! For now, how long till the print edition of this one??

soon – I’ve had a lot on my plate the last few days – I will get to the paperback tomorrow or Saturday hopefully as I am going away for a week starting Sunday.
Glad you liked it.
I am trying to keep the two of them in tune with each other – Kyron got ahead in the Swordsman and this one catches Taroniah up a bit. Kyron’s next one takes place over not much than a year so he won’t get too far ahead again.
The other reason is that I’m a pantser when it comes to writing. I don;t sit there and meticulously plot out everything in a book and then write it like many authors do.
No. I get an idea for a story – you know the overarching arc – then I start writing and let the characters and the events take me where they will until they reach the end. The Arturo series was originally intended to be only 4 books long – not 8! Things just kept happening – its the same with Taroniah and Kyron but that is why I can’t one get too far in front of the other – in case something happens that I hadn;t allowed for.

nope – its a continuation of the story that started in at War that runs parallel to the main two protagonists

Will Kyron ever meet up with Taroniah now that they both seem to be heading to Marland for the civil war??

Kyron is fairly far east of Marland – but yes eventually it will require both of them to defeat the enemy

Is there a timeframe we can start looking for the next books?

not really – it takes as long as it takes generally I try for every 2-3 months but it depends on how far a book is along when it hits the top of the pile

I have something like 20 stories underway at any one time as ideas occur to me. I work on the next book to print every morning writing 1500+ words and then in the afternoon I do another 1000 words now that I am full-time. Most for the time the extra 1000 words goes into one of the other stories I am working on as ideas for scenes occur to me. Sometimes the extra 1000 words gets added to the Next Book To Print NBTP
With the book series, while the first book might have a significant amount written before it becomes the NBTP, the second and subsequent books don’t unless they have been hanging around for a long time. This means that Kyron the Mercenary (the current NBTP) only had about 12k written in it when it became the NBTP – so it will be 11-12 weeks to write (rough target 120-130k words) in the case of the most recent Princess book – it went to 166k words so took 3 weeks to write on top of the normal target.
In contrast the next book after Kyron – The Lost Federation – had been hanging around for a couple of years and is around 50k already so will take 3-4 weeks less to write than Kyron did – depending on the book’s final length.
Bear in mind I’m a pantser – I get an idea for a story and I see where it goes – I don;t sit there and plan it beforehand – Arturo started as 4 books and took 8 to get there instead.

Sounds good I’m for anything that brings more Arturo (or hopefully more books on the Roman supporting characters as you mentioned before). Right now top priority is print edition of Taroniah at Peace. After all, what part of selling the same book twice to the same customer do you not like?

if only it were that simple- besides I’m holidays at the moment
it takes about 4-6 hours to set up the print version as opposed to 1-2 hours for the e=book version

As I was rereading Taroniah At Peace it occurred to me, when will we see magic plumbing pipe (aka thrusters) attached to ships and boats?
